Steel pergola frame erected by More Steel Inc in an apartment courtyard

We build the steel. You know who to call.

We fabricate it in our shop and our crews install it. If the drawing and the field don’t agree, the guy installing it can call the guy who built it, and you’re dealing with one company instead of two of them pointing at each other.

02 — RECENT WORK

We could tell you what we build. Easier to show you.

Everything here came off a More Steel job. Not stock photos, not renderings we found online. Some of it is finished work and some of it is a picture somebody on the crew took because the steel looked good that day.

03 — WHO YOU'RE CALLING

I started this with an old truck and old tools.

I’m Jorge Mayen. I started More Steel in 2003 with an old truck, old tools and a lot more desire to work than actual work. The first three or four years were tough. There weren’t enough jobs.

Then a shopping center called me about some fence work. We took care of it. They called again. Then other people started knowing our name. Later I began working with a steel fabrication company, and that opened another door.

That’s really how More Steel grew. One job, then another one from the same person, then somebody they knew. Twenty-three years later, that’s still the business I want. I’d rather the superintendent save my number than win one job on price.

04 — WHERE WE WORK

The shop is in Snellville. The trucks don’t stay there.

Most of our jobs are around Metro Atlanta because it keeps the shop, the field crews and the projects close together. We’ve gone across Georgia and into the Southeast when the package made sense. If your job isn’t on the list, don’t try to work out our travel radius from a website. Call Jorge and ask him.

Map of the lower 48 states. A star marks the More Steel shop in Snellville, Georgia. Georgia and the surrounding Southeast are filled, Texas is outlined, and the shading fades outward with distance instead of stopping at a border.
  • Snellville, GeorgiaOur shop and our yard. Home.
  • GeorgiaMost of our work is here.
  • The SoutheastWe’ve gone out here when the package made sense. Alabama, Florida, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky and Virginia.
  • Texas, and past itThe shading fades out instead of stopping, and we drew it that way on purpose. If your job is farther than this, call and ask.

HAVE SOMETHING BIDDING?

Send Jorge the drawings.

Don't clean them up for us. Send the set, mark up what you're carrying and tell us when you need steel. We'll go through it and let you know what questions we have.
