Frames. Supports. Canopies. Small pieces buried in the drawings. They don’t always look like the biggest part of the package until another trade is waiting on one. We’ve done enough of these jobs to know the little steel can become the urgent steel pretty fast.

HOW IT RUNS

This is the order we like to do it in.

  1. 01

    Take off the misc schedule

    We go through the drawings and pull the misc metals scope properly, including the pieces buried in details rather than listed on a schedule.

  2. 02

    Flag what is missing

    Misc schedules are usually incomplete. We tell you what we think is missing while there’s still time to price it.

  3. 03

    Fabricate to sequence

    Embeds first, because they’re needed before a pour. Everything else lands to the schedule rather than in one drop.

  4. 04

    Deliver and install

    Set, welded or grouted in place, with the pieces other trades install delivered marked and on time.

Will you take the misc package if someone else has the structural?

Yes. Misc metals is a scope we’re happy to hold on its own, and it’s often the one a job can’t find a taker for.

How late is too late for embeds?

Before the pour. Once concrete is down, an embed becomes a drilled anchor and a conversation with the engineer. Get us the drawings early and that never comes up.

Do you galvanize?

We coordinate galvanizing for anything living outside or in a wet area. Painted steel in the wrong spot is a callback waiting to happen.

Is there a job too small?

No. A handful of lintels and a ladder is a normal week for us.
